I already own a ‘Merica razor from the Wet Shaving Club.
Seems like a mild everyday driver, but not necessarily my favorite razor.
Has anyone compared the 2 Razors?
I doubt there’s much difference?
Do I need to buy myself a 921 for Fathers Day?  They’re on sale…

I would say the 921 M is a small step up in efficiency but still an excellent daily driver. If you prefer a more aggressive shave the H and EH are significantly more efficient. I have them all and usually reach for the 921 hybrid plate as a daily driver, but it’s hard to beat the price of the Merica.

I get that they’re fundamentally different.
Blade gaps, blade exposure, all that important stuff.
But…oh never mind…Happy Fathers Day!

The “as machined” 921 razor works for me.
Do I have to buy the H plate separately?

Yeah they only sell complete razors with the M..............or buy individual pieces to make what you want

Screw that.
I have the ‘Merica and a bakers dozen other razors…all that give me a fantastic shave.

I pieced together a Yates with the brass top cap, brass H plate, and bead blasted stainless steel handle (no brass handle in stock). It added up to just a bit cheaper than the all stainless full razor. Like maybe $3 less, I think. The standard slim 4” handle looks gawky and awkward, but it’s not horrible to use (while waiting for Yates to release a brass normal length handle). When I find the correct shave angle, the brass head talks a bit. I’m liking my Yates a lot and it may end up unseating my RR Lupo 72 as my favorite.
