and I'll leave my thoughts on the modern SS razors with short comments. I purchased more than half of them here in DFS.
Thanks to you all for providing me such a enjoyable experience!

1. Rockwell 6S - Though not original, it opened a creative way of adjustable razor. One of the best modern razors.

2. Wolfman WR2 - maybe the best polished razor ever. one of the best modern razors but a bit overhyped.

3. Paradigm DB - looks plain and  dull in terms of design but gets the job done very effectively. a superb razor.

4. Charcoal Goods - a terrifc razor which needs to be reproduced soon.

5. Pils - love the design. needs some time to get used to but when you understand the proper angle, it provides you a wonderful shave.

6. Seygus Zeppelin - Its concept looks a gimmick to me but it gave me great shaves.

7. Apollo Helix - An excellent razor. Top tier among modern SS razors.

8. Above the Tie - Experienced some models from the company. Its slant model(S1) was  just another razor. R1 gave me a lot of blade feel, which was beyond my taste.  Windsor SSR1 was excellent. Felt very similar to the shave Paradigm DB gives.

9. Rocnel Sailor 2020 and 2018 Elite - I've experienced 4 Rocnel razors(including 2 SE), 3 of which were too heavy for my taste. I liked Elite but Sailor was just another razor for me. Too heavy and bulky.

10. Carbon CX - I love its handle but the shave was nothing exceptional. I prefer GC 84

11. H&S 75 - a great razor but need to concentrate on its proper angle more than any other razors mentioned here.

12. Timeless 95 - a great razor but doesn't like its weight and bulky head.

13. Blackland Blackbird - Has blade feel beyond my taste. I don't like a razor handle with deep perpendicular line on it. BB was no exception.

14. PAA Razors - I had Ascension Twist and Meta-4. They were one of the most cost effective razors available today. Great razors.

15. Tatara Masamune - a great razor with distinctive design. Definitely top notch.

16. Fine World's finest razor - Doesn't live up to the expectation its name proudly anounces. just another razor.

17. Razorock razors - Experienced many from them. GC 84 is my top pick among them. It defintiely is one of the best bang for the buck.

Interesting comment on the Carbon. I’m the opposite. I like the shave, but not the handle.

Depending on number of days of beard growth so in no particular order. Oh and I’ve got to include Titanium because every SS razor I’ve owned that now has been replaced with the Titanium version I like even better than the SS version.

Paradigm 2020 HP and the Titanium 1
Raw Shaving RS 10
Rocnel Sailor 2021 to be replaced with MC soon
Blackbird Ti
WR2 1.45/1.55 SB Titanium

Honorable mention
Timeless Ti DC 95
Carbon Shaving CX Damascus .68
H&S NO 75 Black Coated
Charcoal Goods Level 3 sorry mines brass.
WR1 .94 DC

Nice to see this thread resurrected. I have to say from Googling this sort of thing in the past, this was the classiest and most informed thread of its type, on any forum.

So, let me add my take, now that I have used most of the commonly named razors (with the notable exception of Charcoal Goods, which I have yet to experience since they do not yet offer international shipping). I am listing the razors that give me high enough efficiency combined with the most enjoyable feel when shaving.

  1. Rocnel Sailor
  2. Blackland Tradere OC
  3. H&S P076 (prefer the copper version)
  4. Blackland Vector
  5. Timeless Slim 0.5 OC Titanium

Be aware I am a low gap neutral blade exposure wet shaver - have found that blade choice is as important as razor head with each of my favorites :

A team:

ATT M1 + Feather [2 uses only]
Timeless Slim + Astra SP
Karve B plate + Astra SP
Apollo Matrix mild plate + Gillette Black
Feather + Feather [2 uses only]

B team:

Timeless 68 + GSB
ALPHA mild baseplate + Astra SP
Razorock Mamba + KAI
Razorock GC68 + KAI
Carbon baseplate, neutral exposure + Astra SS
ATT S1 + Personna Red

Exploring mates [blades] for my HNS N075 & Charcoal Goods Lvl 1 - pretty fun

1. Karve Overlander with Feather blades - I whip this razor around like a cartridge razor and get DFS/BBS. Never a hint of irritation or nicks. I've always been a shallow angle shaver, but this razor tops everything when used at a steep angle. Feather blades have never agreed with my neck in any other razor besides this one. Perhaps feather blades work better, for me, when using a steep angle of attack.

2. Haircut & Shave Ti83 with Gillette Nacets - This is the razor that I use when I want to take my time and get that perfect BBS. This razor is only second place because I do get the slightest redness in 1-2 spots on my neck for 30 minutes after a quick (auto-pilot shave).

3. Haircut & Shave Z074 with Gillette Nacets - My, oh, my, have I never experienced a smoother shave. This razor has zero drag and just glides around my skin like skates on an ice rink. This razor would be #1 on my list if the shaves lasted longer.

I use blades 2-3 times. 3 passes every time. Daily or every other day shaves. These are the only DE's that I use nowadays after using most of the modern razors (Charcoal, WR1, WR2, Paradigms, Timeless, Raw, Blackland, ATT, Tatara). I might buy the Rockwell 6s razor again. I remember getting stellar results, just didn't like the drag and the heavy-duty-tool-like look of the razor.
