After smelling B&M Hallow, it's on the list.
Surprised I get a Fougére scent from it.
Did I receive a dud ?
Smells like one of Will's great Fougére scented soaps to me with added vetiver

Yes, it has vetiver and oakmoss 2 of the main components found in Fougeres. See below:
"inspiration from the swamps of Boston, we combined vetiver, oakmoss, black pepper, cocoa, labdanum, and cedar to produce a deep, cold scent suited to the chilly, bitter days of late October. Gloomy, rich, and perversely elegant, Hallows is a reminder of why men once feared the dark."

For me Tallow & Steel take the prize. You can't go wrong with any of the scents. If forced to choose, I enjoy dark and rainforest slightly more than grog and classic.

Posting Freak
I'm going to say the 2016 Chatillon Lux scents:
Yuzu Rose Patchouli
Fourth and Pine
Colonia Balsamica
Colbeck
Bon Vivant
Unconditional Surrender
Blackberry Blossom Bay

And also the Barrister and Mann 2016s
Passiflora
Night Music

I think that adds up to about 3...

With a runner up to Night Music as well.

Math checks out!

For me, my top 3 this year would be:

The Holy Black - The Galleon
I held off on this one until there were only 2 left and decided to pull the trigger based on the rave reviews it was getting. I'm glad I did. I love love love this scent. Not too aquatic and a nice bit of oak.

L&L Grooming - After the Rain
This was a blind buy for me and it was instantly one of my favorites. A sweet pine and lavender; I find myself opening it up just to smell it even if I'm not shaving or using the aftershave for no reason other than smells.

Chatillon Lux - Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli
I initially avoided this one because the description didn't seem up my ally, but I'm a sucker for limited edition soaps so picked up the Tallow+Steel collab. I'm sorry hawns for doubting you. This is a simple, yet wonderful combination that has the citrus without being an overly sweet/candy type scent.
