Well, being that today is a holiday in America, I'll give Oneblade another day or two to get back to me regarding the blade smile.

I'm going to call tomorrow. For a $300 razor I expect better.

I was discussing about the smiley Feathers with Andrew, saying to him that mine has no smile. He asked me for photos to use them, but I am not able to post them at this moment. Then, Andrew said that a member sent him some photos, showing a smiley blade only when he is using the GEM blade, but no when he is using the Feathers. After that comment, I said that probably this happens because the GEM blades does not fit perfectly. Which means what? Feather blades that fit perfectly shouldn't be smiley. Not the opposite.

So, I didn't mistyped. It's obvious that you didn't understand what we were talking about or just read two comments and that's it. Wrong.

You know, your comment was not that respectful and I really don't care if a weirdo on the internet laughs with a comment of mine or what he thinks I wrote, or what I meant. Next time, keep such type of comments to yourself.

SharpSpine sent me a photo of his OneBlade with both a feather & a GEM loaded..the feather doesn't have a smile but the GEM does. strange!
I haven't tried a GEM so far, only the Feathers, but maybe that happens because the GEM blade does not fit perfectly.

I did read Nick, perhaps you mistyped but from your quote above it sounds like you are only discussing the GEM smile when the concern is with the Feather. Your patronizing comment did get a laugh though.

Hey Guys, everyone take a deep breath, which is usually what I have to be told.

I've been following this thread closely. As a third party not involved in these specific comments, what I can say is that I didn't pick up harsh intent from anyone.

We have several folks that have expensive razors that appear to have an issue when used with the recommended blade. As a group of OneBlade owners, I would like to see everyone focus on that. I want to see everyone with a proper OneBlade and for all of us I want OneBlade to watch quality control.

At your service, SharpSpine , whenever you want.

Agreed Pete123, it will be interesting to see what the official response is from OneBlade. I personally think that the blade can be improved from the smile as it increases rigidity. However, given OneBlade's claims on manufacturing tolerances then I can see that there is certainly some kind of issue happening here.

You know what? I gave you more attention than you deserve. I don't like feeding forum trolls that attack members for no reason. Too bad, you lost your interest for tonight.

Ok guys, please keep this on topic.

From what we can tell so far, newer batch OneBlades seem to have blade smile when using feather blades while older batches do not. GEM blades seem to have a smile regardless of when the razor was produced unless you clip the blade.

I'm in total agreement with RSP1 in that it's not acceptable for a $300 razor to have such a defect. I'll likely call them as well if they don't email me tomorrow.

RSP, Andrew and Niko seem to have razors that smile with the Feather, which doesn't seem correct to me.

None of us can expect the OneBlade folks to take action on the GEM blades as they don't support them. My expectation would be that a $200 plus dollar razor wouldn't smile.

My best guess is that some of the manufacturing machinery was a little off on a batch of OneBlades. They are made in China, so I would imagine that batches are fairly large.

Pete, mine is ok. Luckily, no defect, because living in Europe that would be a real problem.

A possibly defective batch. Keep us informed. I will read the answers you are going to get with interest.

Sorry for derailing the thread a bit, gentlemen. That was not my intention and I apologize.
