I've avoided that because of the Do Not Wipe warning on the wrapper of teflon-coated blades. Would it actually remove the teflon? No idea. I doubt if the alcohol actually damages the teflon per se, but there's still the age-old question: "How do they get teflon to stick to the pan?" (Steven Wright I think).
Granted, but my old-style GSBs have wax dots ON the edge. I place them toward the base plate, away from my face. I don't feel them that way, but they do hold a bit of soap residue.

My other blades have wax, but that really doesn’t make too much of a difference to me
