I’m with you on the one scent.
Sandalwoods are my favorite.

I find a lot of soaps these days are far too complex.

Tend to prefer simple scents using very high quality ingredients; if complex, it needs be executed properly and not solely for the sake of complexity (very few of the complex soap scents meet that standard)

Cannot agree more with Erchy and DanLaw. I am browsing now House of Mammoth’s soaps on a vendor’s site and found this description of one of the soaps:
We live in a noisy world, surrounded by things that demand our attention. The news is unsettling, advertising is everywhere, and social media promises easy connections while driving us further apart. Even in the traditional wet
shaving community, the wide range of options and complex scent descriptions can be dizzying.

Sometimes simpler is better.”

So true!

I like to keep things simple.

A lot of artisans are throwing together as many scents as possible. I’ve purchased a few and end up giving them away or selling.

I love nice simple clean scents.

Nothing worse than using a new soap and your wife says you smell awful LOL

I am a big oakmoss fan, so shaving soaps like Glastonbury, Varen and Stirling Green, all from Stirling are right up my alley. Outside of oakmoss, I also love many of the SV offerings like Asylum Shaveworks (by SV) Colonia and Manna di Sicilia.
