Which begs the question - does that ever calm down the wife?  Smile

Doesn't happen at my house. I just open the closet and point to all of the boxes of shoes she has never worn and say, "At least my sheet actually gets used."

Hey, what are friends for !? :-)

It may be as much a virus as an addiction, my wife has made our soap for years but lately has produced some outstanding shaving soaps.

I am unsympathetic. The wrought iron sign in gothic letters proclaiming 'Surrender all hope, ye who enter" is only three feet high and bursts into flame at every new shavers timid approach.

My wife made the quip upon delivery, "more soap?" ....Wait till the travel razor shows up! Heads will roll.

Once in it's hard to get out! When a Phoenix & Beau, L&L Grooming, Desmond's Barrow, Timeless, Rockwell 6S and others arrive on the scene they hook us because there such wonderful products.

I remember one turning point when living in Manhattan in 1996/7. Ian Matthews, the head barber at Trumpers, (who often shaved John Major) came to New York as a guest of AOS and the NY Times and other papers picked up his visit. That gave our hobby a boost at the time.

Boy, it's been ages since I used a cream or soap from Trumper/Truefitt/Taylor.

We're all very happy to enble support you in your shaving addiction hobby!

The vintage side of the hobby seems easier for me. When my wife asks, "Is that a new razor?" I can say, "Why, no, dear." I mean, how can a 70 year old razor be new? Happy2 It works for vintage safety razors, straights, soaps, and etc.

You're welcome and good luck!
