I could see the facet closest to the blade helping to find the angle, but then I'm not sure how the ones across the top would have function.

I have not shaved with the head yet but aside from looking nice I don't see any useful purpose of it.

Useful for the maker to get $$  Big Grin

Very cool looking razor head.

First (and last) shave with the Yintal SS head. This morning I switched in the Polsilver Super Iridium blade and the shave was extremely smooth and fairly close. This is a mild head but I could still feel the blade. An experienced shaver can zip through several passes in two or three minutes. The build quality is outstanding. I have to give credit to Yintal for attempting to produce these razors.
It will be going up for sale on BST today along with a brand new Edwin Jagger head.

slantman , did the two different angles on each side actually do anything to assist the shave? I can see where the angle closest to the blade would, but I was wondering of the one closer to the cap.

Could it be anything to do with reducing manufacturing cost for a faceted head vs a curved dome head. Wild guess !

If that were the case, sticking with only one angle on each side would be even cheaper (which they do have a version of that one also). Some of the other Chinese stainless steel razor heads have gone with a scalloped head, and so I am believing they just want to produce something other than a boring curved dome cap.
