My Yates top cap would clamp the blade to a Karve baseplate.

The Karve top cap does not clamp to the Yates baseplate. A gap is left between the two.

After a full week of trying out another razor I pulled out my Yates with the brass Hybrid plate. What a smooth, comfortable 2 pass shave. Love this razor.

I was waiting for EH plate, it always says 1-3 days since last month. 
I didn't understand whether he sold in his website. Since I saw some EH in BST here.

EH on BST may have been testers but I don't know. I'll just stick with the H myself as I've moved on.
