Looks like West Coast Shaving is now importing/selling the much heralded YaQi brushes from China and at great prices!!

beautiful brushes. I wish they had more offering using the plisson style synthetic knots though.

I'm interested in the handles but not the knots. No badgers there at West Coast? Hmmm.

No need as the Tuxedo style is farrrrr better.

is they're similar to the black knots and ubersoft, then I'm not a fan...too much backbone and not enough splay.

Then you need the Cashmere knot.

It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

Good performing brushes for the $$$. Very soft tips with decent backbone and splay. I find the Maggard Tuxedo variant to have just a bit more backbone, slightly. I picked these up from WCS last week. Solid brushes....

I've just received two Yaqi brushes to try, the 30mm Jumbo synthetic and the 24mm Silvertip.
I've done a test lather on the synthetic, and it can definitely whip up some lather Smile

I own it, and yes, it is the Cashmere.  The thing to look for is the code R1701S2-28 in the Item Specifics section.  I have looked a few times for another Yaqi with that knot, and R1701S2-28, with the watermelon handle, is the only one I ever found.  FYI it is by far the best of 10+ synths I own, and the one other Cashmere owner I know feels the same way.
