Here is a picture of a Bohin base plate. First difference is the shoulders are not round but more oval in shape. This side has grooves in the shoulders so you know which side of the plate you are using. Opposite side doesn't. The hole for the threaded stem on the cap is larger is larger than the threaded stem. Finally though not visible because of the angle the shoulders are not perpendicular to the plate but slightly more than 90 degrees. All those features allow the cap to be offset on the razor head instead of centered only. That is what makes a Bohin a true adjustable since offsetting that cap changes the whole cutting geometry from when it is centered.
