I can relate to this, as a handle can make a clear difference. Not only is an issue of weight, but sometimes a different handle might facilitate a slight change to the shaving angle of the razor.

A lighter setup can cause some shavers to apply more pressure against the skin. In my experience, that is not the way to go. I’m glad to hear that what I can only assume is a lighter handle helped improve the shaves in this case.

(Side note on the diamond-like carbon coating: After years of use, I haven’t noticed a real difference in friction/glide compared to other razors. I do think that the main purpose is to protect the material beneath — even stainless steel is susceptible to the effects of wear & time.)
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Agreed. Heavier [and longer] handles generally make the razor head more aggressive.

I only have a couple of razors in both DLC and Stainless but differ on this point in that they do have a slightly unique face feel for each from my experience.

Regardless, glad that you cracked the code ScientificShaves . I have very much enjoyed using the regular SS version.

When I get my wolfman back from cerakote I will compare to the satin wunderbar I have again. I could not get the slant to work. But will give another try if it don't sell. Don't think the DLC version is worth the same price I paid for the wolfman SB.
