UPDATE:

Scoring System for the " Most Efficient Razor " Shave Off

Hello friends I have been working on the Scoring System and I thought I'd post it up here and then put it into the guidelines post as well which I just did if you're looking for it in the future.  Although the structure of the system is the same as it was in the last Shave Off I did " The Smoothest Razor " the percentages have been changed and it's pretty easy to see that the main focus is on efficiency but it is not the only thing the razor will be judged on.

Scoring System:

1. Efficiency - up to a possible 60 points
2. Smoothness - up to a possible 25 points
3. Maneuverability - up to a possible  5 points
4. Balance - up to a possible  5 points
5. Glide - up to a possible 5 points

If you have any thoughts or suggestions on the Scoring Systems structure please feel free to post up your thoughts.

Thank you!

Hello my friend! Well I think what you did in creating your one off own razor from a concept you had is almost mind blowing and I give you a ton of credit. I would be glad to use it in the category you think it fits in but because it's a one off razor and not available for anyone to purchase I can't let it be an official contender. I'm looking forward to using it though and I'm sure you understand why it can't be officially in this Shave Off but more so of a cameo appearance which I'm sure everyone will enjoy as well as myself. So let me know what category you think it belongs in and I'll add it to the list.

Take care!

I understand my friend! I am more so interesting to see how you feel it stacks up to some of the other big hitters. Unfortunately I am a little too bias haha. I want to thank you for the opportunity to cameo my razor and I believe it should be in the hyper efficient category. The 1.85 gap and other fun design quirks makes it a monster Smile

Hey Frank when you get started with this Shave Off let us know what razors you need to make this work ?

I got the Merkur Vision 2000 and Timeless Bronze OC 78 if you need still.

I have the Rex Ambassador I can send you when you are ready. What about your RFB? Also I think the Tatara Nodachi cold be in the efficient category.

Also Frank based on our experience with the past showdown may I suggest that when you create the final list of razors put the person’s name next to the razor they sent you so when you are done with the razor it will be easy for you to know who to send it back to.

Yep if I have anything you can use for shave offs you're welcome to it, I'll ship it to you.

Thank you AJ and I'll mark your name next to them.

Excellent point and I'll start adding names when someone contributes a razor and your right on the last Shave Off that was a job keeping track of who sent what and a few times I had to go back to pm's to check so this will make things easier and that's why this guidelines thread will help get all the kinks out before starting. My target date is the 1st week of February in case anyone was wondering and I'll post that up in UPDATES:  Thanks buddy!

Thanks my friend for the thoughtful gesture we will need more contributors to make this Shave Off thread more interesting and fun. The best way is to either check the razors that are marked in BLUE as those are the ones that we need and if you have one that your willing to contribute please let us know. Also if there are any razors that you or any of the members thinks should be added to the list to one of the 3 categories and have one in to lend  please let me know in a post.  The Shave Off thread was always a group effort thing which is one of the things that made it special.. I'm just the guy that does the Shave Offs.

Okay Frank I found the list. I can send you a Blackland blackbird with whichever plate SB or OC both of you prefer. Just let me know when you need it, and probably a Saturday to get to the post office

I can olso send the Rockwell 6s plate #6 also if it doesn't matter that I polished the top cap and bar bar on the plate.

I was also willing to offer-up my Rex Ambassador if needed, but looks like that is covered. Given my preferences, I no longer (and probably won't until I stop being a daily shaver) own anything that would make it into this showdown, hahahaha.
