Curious what you think of both of these large gaps on the WR4.  Also how do you like that WR5H handle.  Never even heard of that handle before.  Is this something custom James made for you or is it a new production handle he doesn't have on the website?

Think that was for me. The larger gaps are still super smooth but highly efficient in the WR4. I have gaps .77, .86, .94, 1.20, 1.25 and 1.50. The 1.50 is a bit much but I like all of them. The WR4 is, to me, the best razor James has ever made! Of course, that is just my personal opinion. I have 7 WR2’s in gaps 1.25-1.85, 3 WR3’s and 3 WR1’s that I kept. All in various metals from titanium, copper, bronze, stainless steel and aluminum.
The WRH5 handle has been made only a couple of times by James. It is an extremely rare handle and he says very hard to machine. Because this one was done in Nickel and such a custom razor, I was able to get him to do that one off handle for it. I have only seen one or two others.

george1906 Well that's a heck of a collection of Wolfman's there.  I would specifically like to know about the 1.20, 1.25 and 1.50 WR4s.  Also what gaps do you have in the WR3s?  My name came up on the waitlist a couple of days ago from Tara so I want to figure out how high I can go gap wise and not regret it.  My favorite Wolfmans so far are my WR1 in bronze that I have in DC configuration 1.25SB / 1.20OC, and another WR1 in brushed SS 1.10OC / 1.00 OC (I bought this first thinking this was going to be too large but liked it so much I went larger the second order) and my WR2 in bronze is 2.00OC / 1.80SB.

Sorry man, for some reason Tapatalk on my phone does the phantom thing where it unfollows some threads. Weird. Anyway, I would say that I love my 1.25 and 1.20 in the WR4. The 1.50 I prefer with the OC plate but it still may be way too much for most people. I love aggressive razors so I’m good but prefer the 1.25 and 1.20. In WR3, I have a .74 OC, .80 SB and a .86 SB. I’ll be honest, the WR3 is my least favorite Wolfman because of the large head. I have several other GEM razors with smaller heads that shave just as well or better. I will say that James may be redesigning the WR3 some day soon. This is not definite but a possible redesign may be coming. I have a ton of razors from a bunch of different manufacturers and I have not been able to find a better SE Artist Club razor than the WR4 in any gap.

Personally I love the design (and shave) of the current WR3 but that's interesting that he is considering making changes. Do you think that would be a replacement or a second GEM razor in the line up?

I too liked my time with the WR3 and wish I could get one now but need some time. Had no trouble at all with the size of the head...

No idea, maybe a WR3 V2?
