Wait has been down to 3 months for my last 2 orders. should be in 3-4 month timeframe if he's having any holiday/new year lag. thats my best guess.
I wonder if the shorter wait is a result of the prices going up, or his helper, Jason ? Perhaps a combination of the two ... I kind of liked the 6 month wait. Gave me time to 'catch my breath' in terms of the expenditure, and also to really have time to decide what I want.
My google order in November was for a WR1 0.80 in bronze with a Darwin handle. I have an 0.74 and a 0.86 and have a hunch that 0.80 is the 'sweet spot'. Someone sold a bronze WR1 with a Darwin on the BST a long time ago. I think it was a 0.61, and it was soooo beautiful.

She’s not a shelf Queen, I’ve already taken this bird out on 2 dates. The “hollow” #4 XL was the best news I could have received!
Acquiring a copper WR1 .54 DC with a #4 handle and a stand to accommodate that #4 wasn’t reality 6 months ago……. no matter how many shekels I could throw at it. The reality was NO ONE would sell a mild highly efficient daily driver with these specs in copper
I’ve gotten a number of emails asking me if I feel a difference between SS and Cu at .54 and what I felt is comparable in the WR2 arena….before I review that I can offer this: My lowest gap WR2 in SS is a 1.00 and this new copper .54 is VERY parallel in efficiency and smoothness with very little blade feel
