Just received my WR1 .61 DC with HR7 handle in the basic finish and I’m pleasantly surprised at how nice the finish is. It’s the first Wolfman razor I’ve owned that’s not high polished.

Recently, I’ve been experimenting with a WR2 1.55 OC. I’m observing a level of smoothness and extra efficiency that I was not able to achieve with the 1.25 OC. It may well be that the high-gapped (1.45+) WR2 OCs deliver a unique smoothness/efficiency ratio. I’ll provide another update after I shave with it for a couple of more weeks...

Do you prefer the OC wr2 more than the SB version, in general ?

I own quite a few OC razors, including a WR1 .74, and enjoy them all. However, in the WR2 I’ve had a strong preference for SB. I did try a WR2 1.25 OC and it did not compare favorably to my 1.25 SB. On my face, the 1.55 OC was much smoother than the 1.25 OC... I’ll go out on a bit of a limb and say that the smoothness of the 1.55 OC is comparable to my 1.25 SB. Although I do need more sessions with the 1.55 OC before I arrive at a final conclusion.

Anyone know where to get and the size the little washers to use to protect the baseplate of the razor? I have some sent to me but never had to look or buy any but I need some.

Thanks for any help.

Frank, you can also go the E-bay route and look for M5 10x5X1 nylon washers or you can just order a bag of 50 at Amazon with prime.

Maggard sells a bag of 10 washers too, in case helpful.
