I got my Wolfman just by randomly opening the page one day in May 2018. I'm glad that it isn't easy to get one, I would have spent $3000 just on Wolfman razors by now if it was.

I recently got my first wolfman razor, WR2 1.15SB. Do you guys ride the cap (shallow) or ride the baseplate (steep)?

generally cap and adjust down until optimum with James' razors for me

Use the tiny horizontal strip that sits just above the vertical serrations on the guard bar
Watch the pressure.

Had a wonderfully smooth shave just now with a 1.15SB and SV 4,3 base soap and a 3rd use pol silver.

Noticeably better than my previous attempts with B&M, WK etc

Beginning to think that soap gives you that 10-15% extra push when determining the quality of shave.

I’ve been enjoying the 1.05 for the last 4-5 shaves. My skin certainly seems to appreciate the smaller gap. I am in a great spot with having both. I can’t even dream of wanting a different razor at this point in time.

Been 3-4 hours since I used the 1.15 SB and my cheeks are still smooth as ever.

In fact, they are smoother to the touch than after I use my Charcoal Level 3 SB, which is said to be more efficient.

Weird.

So after a lot of thinking, I'm reasonably convinced that I want to buy the WR1 head. I like it's design better, and I have some tricky spots under my nose where the reduced bulk would be useful. I'm actually surprised that I came to this conclusion because newer is always supposed to be better, right? Anyhow, just wondering wondering if those experienced Wolfman folks in here think this would be a mistake for reasons I'd not considered. I'm a solid bar medium agro guy, so I'm thinking .61 is the right gap for me.

Anyhow, thanks for your thoughts.

I prefer the WR1 head also. The .61 would be like a Charcoal Goods Level 1 or GameChanger .68 if that helps.

That does help a lot. Thank you. That might be a bit mild, as I really enjoy the GC Lvl2. Might take it up a notch from the .61.
