On an unrelated topic, I don’t know where James gets this reputation as being this ban-happy beast? He would never ban someone for asking questions. I think the only reason he’s ever “banned” someone is for flipping new razors repeatedly.

Anyways, in all sincerity thanks to dan for providing that info. A few of the new razors are out for delivery today so new opinions, which this thread greatly needs, are coming soon!

No razor for you!

The first thing that came to my mind when I ready this was the soup nazi on Seinfeld. I only have one Wolfman, but my experience with James was the he could not have been more responsive or accommodating.

Because it’s the best comparison EVER

First side by side video I've seen. Just going by Sean"s comments and this video, I see no need to chase a BBS-1, just me. I'll be content with my WR2.

Also, I can attest to James' excellent customer service and willingness to be accommodating. That does not mean he has obliged all of my requests. No, I dont think he will ban you for asking questions....and certainly not for filling a den with gems. Haha.

There’s been all kinds of talk on the Facebook side of things. But I think my early comments and my friends comments I shared are, or will be the consensus - A slightly smoother bbs-1 largely due to some design changes and an ever so slightly smaller gap.

I certainly feel content with my purchase. I will not be paying the crazy secondary market prices for a bbs-1 and will likely seek to add another wr2 at a larger gap when they’re released.

For now I have settled on the WRH2 as the best handle for this head for me. But man....if the wr1 and Darwin aren’t a match made in shaving heaven - I don’t know what is.

Thanks for sharing the video LOOT. I watched this am but wasn’t thoughtful enough to share with this group.

The main question is how do I get a hold of one of these?

I shaved with mine for the first time today. My first impression is that it is mild. Way milder than my WR1 0.74 OC. Probably similar to a 0.61 which I used to own. The shave angle is also different. Compared to the WR1 I had to lift up the end of the handle a bit to make it work. I’m used to more aggressive razors, so very little pressure. With the WR2 I applied far more pressure than usual and still no nicks. The shave wasn’t that deep though, next time I’ll try it with a sharper blade, Feather or Kai and see how it goes. It’s a beautiful razor that’s for sure

Feather and Kai are the way to go with these. People who like Uber aggressive razors will not like this one.

Man, I should've waited. I grabbed a WR2 on the first release, but it's a bit milder than I prefer. Can't wait to hear about the 1.25mm.

Same here, but I already treaded it. Far too mild. Will go for the 1.25 OC next time
