You think the 2011 and a 155 cut the same? If so, does a 155 cut like a 94? CG L3?

I almost bought the new SS R41, as I liked the results of the 2011, just not the material or face feel. Glad you are getting along with yours.

All of those you mentioned will give me a smooth BBS shave. In that sense it might be said they 'cut the same,' but all of the above feel differently to me when I'm shaving with them, 

I would rate the 1.55 the smoothest between the WR1 .94, the CG 3, and the Muhle SS R-41, but any of those will give me the same result if I do my part.

Agreed on all points. However, do all of the resulting BBS's last the same amount of time? That is how I judge them and determine which are "equal" and where one may surpass the others. Surely a 155 will last longer than a 2011, no?

OPs question was about comparable results. By your metrics a .61 WR1 is equal to a 155, correct? They both can produce a BBS.

One of the reasons I tend to shy away from comparing razors is 'all things being equal.' IME all things are rarely equal due to differences in the blade, the prep, the soap/cream, my technique on a given day and what have you. 

I also don't really focus that much on how long the bbs lasts unless it is exceptional. In the sense that I'll feel my jawline and neck and say Wow, it's been X amount of hours and no stubble yet. The SS Muhle R-41 has been exceptional in longevity after most of the shaves, but not all. I could say the same about the 1.55.  

BTW, the SS R-41 is not the 2011. Though I've never had the 2013 brass I'm betting the SS is based on the 2013 from what I've read. The cap is wider and IIRC that was what Muhle did to 'take the edge off' the 2011 (pun intended) 

Lately I've come to the conclusion that my favorite razor, performance wise, is the Blackbird SB. I used to rate the Wolfman the best, CG next and BB next, but things change. Now the Muhle SS 41 is in the pecking order, and I haven't yet decided where it will end up.

For my personal face/neck the Wolfman 1.55 and the .74 are (no pun) neck and neck. I don't mean they shave the same, I mean I like them equally well. As to the other gaps, I sold my .61s and don't regret it. My .86, .94, 1.15, 1.25 are in the stable, but they are not at the top of my personal favorite list.

Those hollow WRH7 90mm handles are one of my favorites. 
Great for us that like a light handle.

Regular polished.

I almost split the baby with a 1.45.  But this will give me a wider range.

Love these specs...if there's still time, consider the WRH7 XL 98mm Hollow instead. The only handle
I use....Stunner to look at, and the balance is perfect. Have used a 90mm hollow and found it a tad
too light.

April 2021

A machinist/shop assistant has been hired. Joel will be helping James with operating machines, general shop duties, and gradually with finishing. He previously worked here in 2016/17 and is already familiar with most of the processes. The goal is to reduce wait times for customers, which is currently about 6 months.

Automated finishing machines are being considered. Test samples are being sent out to be processed by industrial finishing equipment. Another update will follow next month once the test pieces are returned and inspected. The goal will be to have the machines do the basic polishing, further reducing wait times. Mirror and satin finishes are expected to continue to be done by hand.

Machine polishing to do the basic polishing, I have a feeling this going to drive people to the more expensive razors.

I can mostly think of vibratory tumblers with a deburring and finishing media. Robotic polishing is also available but expensive and mostly used on larger parts.

Interesting. My immediate thoughts are:

1. This is good news for those waiting for titanium, and

2. This may have some interesting (probably negative) aftermarket value implications
