Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

I've pretty much given up on the dream of a Ti WR1/Darwin. There doesn't seem to be any incentive to make more Ti.

I plain just don’t use DE anymore but would snag a standard gap wr1 in ti in a heartbeat. Sadly, I agree that he has zero incentive to offer it as long as SS maintains a steady wait list.

I found the WR2 angle of effective use not to my liking , I much preferred the WR1. My gap was 1.35. I find the WR1 smoother and more efficient.

Which WR1?

I enjoyed most the standard gap , each level up from that list the smoothness I desire with diminishing returns in terms of efficiency. I would love to try gaps below standard and will do so in the future when my name comes up.

If you want smooth, albeit at the expense of efficiency try the .48 gap. Standard and .54 share the same blade exposure. The .48 is the only gap with less.

However it is pretty mild so your technique needs to be watertight.

Frankly, I'm struggling with what I might want from him at this point.

A Darwin handle in the basic matt seems mildly appealing.

Was toying with a WR1 .94mm SB...but I don't want to get something
I'll just want to sell after a few uses. Still not convinced from what I've
read about the .94 so far...anyone wanna change my mind...LOL

It took some time for me to 'get' the .94. I had ordered it with the WRH1 100mm solid. I tend to like to keep sets together and the .94 DC seemed to be too much of a good thing for me as far as blade feel and aggressiveness. 

I bought a WRH1 90mm hollow from a friend on DFS and paired it to the .94 for a marriage made in heaven. 

Speaking only for myself the .94 is a keeper. 

Aside from a Ti I'm sort of done with SS Wolfman razors. OTOH, I postponed my order a few months ago, or more, and have been thinking of a WR2 1.35. I love the 1.55 and have been thinking of the 1.35, probably in an SB with the upcharge old satin finish and a long hollow hybrid if he'll do that. Decisions ... decisions.
