So this WR2 1.55 just suits me down to the ground. I have reassured myself of it the past week. Tomorrow I may begin shaving with something else, just for the sake of variety. I've got other members of the herd being neglected.  Smile

Do you remember the titanium 1.55 feeling any smoother than the SS version?
Good question. I was concerned about that when ordering the SS 1.55. I really don't think it was smoother. If it was, it was so slight as to be negligible IMHO. OTOH, I still want a Ti, and if direct from James a 1.55 SB. If it is from another source I might consider a lesser gap.

The Wolfman cloth.

Maybe one that's made for cleaning glasses?

I have a ton of those type of cleaning clothes. They come free with just about any pair of glasses. Go to an optical store and ask them for a cloth to clean lenses. I collect hand made frames and have a stack of those and I actually threw out the 3-4 that have come with my Wolfmans.

I have only had a chance to compare the 1.55 Ti closely and often with the 1.45 SS.
Very little between them in terms of efficiency...smoothness is also at high levels for both.
The Ti feels more comfortable on the face...the 15gm head might be the reason.

I always purchase camera lens cleaning cloths from either: Zeiss, Leica or Schneider.  These companies are considered the top optic manufacturers and their lens cloths are designed not to scratch.  Personally I have Schneider cloths, purchased from BH Photo.  I am sure Amazon also sells them.  They come in a variety of sizes.  I love the smaller sizes
