I placed my order on the 8th, so I think I'm still looking for the corner to wait for the bus!

So here's something....(or not depending)

So, thinking out loud,.....
If some members have received their new Wolfy's from the new Google form system......9/6 (which they have)
& my order was placed within an hour of other members that have received their new Wolfy's already ( which it was),
& I placed my order within the 'golden hour' where the news really started circulating among various forums & members, and orders were then being frantically placed,....
& If compared with the previous drop system for arguments sake & simple maths, 15 orders may have got through in a frantic 3 minutes, then in that 'golden hour' of realisation of the Google order form, one could guestimate that 20x that 3 minutes of orders could have realistically been placed within the hour = 300 razors, & if this is an acceptable generalisation, then based on 15 razors previously taking 3 weeks to complete on the drop system, then anyone in the 'golden hour' of the Google order system could be waiting 20x 3 weeks from orders placed on 9/6=60 wks wait time....as for the next days & days of orders........

Just saying..........?

Waiting on the corner for that bus could be a loooooooong wait........

Happy to be corrected.....

Living on the edge
Ive been having some handle epiphanies of late.
When I first saw what he offered I instantly liked
H1 and Darwin. The H7 was his best looking one to me, but I read
a few reports that it was too 'feminine'. So I avoided it.

Got the H7 with my last order and it's become my favourite.
Feels great in my hands, high manoeuvrable without being slippery.
It's not too fat either...I can only imagine the XL version delivers
even more of the same goodness.

It does make one wonder about the number of orders and at certain days or times. Somewhere I read the business is full time now but was part time in recent past.

I selected the wrh2 because I normally go for barberpole style handles because I love the look. But for some reason that wrh1 looks bada$$ to me too! I can't decide. Also on balance... Are most of you all selecting the normal handles over the hollow ones?

I never had an issue with balance until I got a ss timeless where I needed a shorter 60gr handle to feel more on control. Any insights will be appreciated!
Handles are personal. I had a similar handle to WRH1 not bad. I previously had a WRH2 in Ti which was great but sold that with the WR1 head a while ago. I have a similar handle to WRH7 already which is also close to the WRH3 and I like it a lot. With my recent order I went with the WRH2 stainless hollowed to reduce weight since its heavy.

My own personal choice would be WRH7 regular or WRH2 hollowed.

One of my favorite things about a Wolfman Razor is how smooth it shaves ATG, something one could partially credit to a rigidly held blade, held tightly from top and bottom near the cutting edge of the blade. If the shim is at least as wide as where the blade would normally contact the edge of the baseplate, I wouldn’t think it would negatively effect it, but if the shim is narrower, would blade rigidity be decreased?
I've noticed no issues with blade rigidity with any of the shims I've run. I did try to keep the shim as wide as I could, eyeballing it, just to test the concept. Once I settle on a material, I'll be more precise in making the finals.

I know we've been focusing on high-gap WR2s, but I received my 1.05SB WR2 from James a couple of weeks ago from the 'invoice' drop and yesterday shaved with it and my WR1 .74 - I'm likely only going to keep one, but I really can't tell much of a difference in smoothness and efficiency - a bit surprisingly, I've come to appreciate the sleeker head of the WR1.... both great razors!

That's a very nice problem to have. I bet a little bit of time and a few shaves you'll know I won't regret your decision.

Thanks - it is a nice problem to have - and you're right - one comparison shave isn't enough. I should also say that the .74 is mirror polished (before the options) and the 1.05 is standard - a slight difference, but you have to hold them side by side to see it...

My humble opinion is you can't go wrong with either of those finishes. I've got the 74 open comb in a satin finish that's nice too, and had a WR2 DC in the mirror polish.
