Too late buddy. 1.25 was trashed when it left my house too.

OK guys, I used the 1.35mm SB basic brushed finished razor just a few minutes ago. I don't like comparing razors to one another and I am not really good at it. A razor I love today may be for sale tomorrow. With that being said, this was probably one of the smoothest shaving razors I have ever used. It was extremely efficient while still feeling great on my face.

I don't have experience with any other WR2 Wolfman Razor and I cannot recall what it felt like to shave with a WR1 razor. I never do a 3 pass shave as I cannot stand shaving against the grain. With today's shave, I could have stopped after my first with the grain pass, my face was that smooth, but I went ahead and did my across the grain pass too. I judge all my razors by how they shave my lower jaw line and this was one of the best I have used. I will continue to evaluate it but it is an amazing shaving instrument for sure.

I’ve become comfortable with my 1.15 SB over the last few weeks to offer up an opinion and it’s an amazing razor. The best I’ve ever used to date honestly. Prior to this I was using a 1.05 DC for a few months. The 1.15 offers all the comfort of the 1.05 with a touch more blade feel and efficiency. The increase in gap has caused no issues with irritation but I only shave every few days. My handle of choice has always been 90mm solid H1/H2 and I feel the WR2 head weight balances better and compliments that handle choice better than the WR1. As a daily shaver I can see the 1.15 possibly being a bit too much for my growth but the reality is that after 24 hours I really don’t have enough growth to shave. I’ve also come to the opinion that while in the WR1 I saw a benefit to the open comb design on the 3-4 days growth, the design and larger native gaps of the WR2 don’t require an open comb design for me. I’ve had very good first pass results using both the 1.05 safety bar side and 1.15 SB with amazing smoothness and efficiency on 3-4 days growth. I haven’t reached for my WR1’s since I tried the WR2. Right now it’s ticking all the boxes. My only move right now is finding a swap for the 1.05 DC to a 1.05 SB.

Don’t know about other people but I’d say The Wolfman website is getting some traffic?, I’ve been on it way more times then is healthy the last week.
Hopefully the basic finishes puts more razors out.

Tester28, it is too early to tell right now. I will need a little more time figuring out the best angle to use etc. I will say that a couple of hours after shaving, I felt a very slight stinging sensation on my cheeks. Was it the razor, was it the few hours I spent in the yard yesterday in the hot Florida sun, or a combination of both? Time will tell.

I will say I didn’t have any visible abrasions or other skin damage after shaving so I am hopeful.

Ive felt that stinging sensation before ... I think its the salt in the sweat reacting against freshly shaved skin.

I used my one and only Wolfman 1.35SB razor again this morning and had an AMAZING shave. Proper pre-shave set up using Grooming Dept unscented pre-shave and Wholly Kaw Chypre Rose Concerto. The razor was loaded with a Polsilver Super Iridium blade.

I LITERALLY could have stopped shaving after my first WTG pass. It was probably the closest first pass I have ever had. I followed that up an XTG pass and called it done.

This razor is super smooth while being EXTREMELY efficient. Even on my toughest area (lower chin line) the razor functioned beautifully and didn’t pull or tug at the hair like some razors can.

With all this being said, whether it’s a daily driver  or not is still up for debate. I can tell you right now (3 hours after my shave) I don’t feel any irritation and my face suffered ZERO damage. Part of my problem is I am also trying to learn how to properly shave with a straight razor so I am also devoting some time to that.

Do I think I could step up to a 1.45mm blade gap? Yes I do. Do I think that would be necessary? NOPE!
If I ever get the chance to buy another Wolfman, it will be a 1.25SB as I am sure that could be used daily.

Good stuff FCI! Thanks for the report. It's nice to have a little confirmation on the 1.35SB.
