I picked up a .80 OC on a BST and really like this gap. Really smooth, not really noticing much of an increase in blade feel from the .54 and more efficient.

How is the blade feel on the .86 gap?

My .86 OC is very efficient and smooth enough. Not as smooth as my .74, but plenty smooth. YMMV  Smile

I received a dual gap WR1 today, one side is 0.86 SB. I'll be using it tomorrow, I've tried the 0.61 and 0.67, both OC, so it'll be an interesting comparison going up a couple gaps.

Do any Karve OC plate compare to the Wolfman .86 OC?

I just shaved 2 days growth with my WR1 .86 OC. There is more blade feel with the .86 than with my .74 DC. Great shave, but you know you're shaving with an .86. The .74 does equally well as far as results, but is smoother, with a bit less blade feel, on my particular face/neck.  Smile

I have a .74 SB and I agree with Jimmy... Smooth and efficient.

Which WR1 gap would suit me more ..74, .80 or .86? Some of My Favorite Razors include Wolfman Wr2 1.25, Charcoal Goods Lvl2, Timeless.95, Carbon Cx++, and Diamondback?? Any insight would help immensely. Prefer a daily shaver or every other day shaver, highly efficient but not at the expense of smoothness. Thank you.

Thanks Jimmy, I was expecting more blade feel with the .86. As far as I can tell the .74 and .80 have the same exposure, the gap is the only difference. 86 is a step up. I'm just considering if the slight increase in efficiency is worth it on the .86.

I'll be odd man out..again. the 74 was the first one I bought and then I ran them up to 94. The 74 was my least favorite and I actually think the WR1 gets smoother as you go up in gap, likely my poor technique, but thas my story. I sold the 74 and kept the other gaps. For daily shaving, it's hard to beat an 80OC.

Think you well advised to stick 0,67, maybe a DC
