How efficient and smooth is it in comparison to other razors. If you can’t compare, what do you rate it from 1-10 scale. Thanks!

I've got an .86 OC SS and it is efficient, but on my particular face it can be a bit harsh if I'm not careful.

Than again ... I had been shaving with my bronze .80 for weeks and finally decided to change up.

Picked up my .94 DC SS with a new Polisilver blade and got one of the best, most comfortable and close shaves in recent memory. The .94 has also been a bit harsh if I wasn't careful in the past. Maybe it's the blades too.

It is the most efficient Wolfman that I own.  It is a 10 for me.  Most of my Wolfman's are quite smooth. From most to least favorite shaving experience:  WR1 .86SB Ti, WR1 .74SB SS, WR1 .67SB SS, WR1 .61SB SS, BBS1 SS, WR2 1.25SB SS.

Thanks you guys! This forum is the best! Members here are super helpful as always. My name came up and unfortunately Tara informed me the Ti Darwin handle can’t be made at this time due to machine being down. So I’m going with 86/94 Oc DC WR1. I had .80 Dual Comb in the past and enjoyed the Oc side more. Initially I was going to go for .86 Dual Comb but changed my mind last minute.

Thank for advice!, messaged Tara and changed it to .86 Ti SB. Hope to get the invoice once machine is repaired. It’s currently down. I’m definitely patiently waiting for the Ti Darwin. Stoked Wink

Glad you made a decision.  I think you will really enjoy it.

Would you say that the BBS-1 has a very similar performance to the WR1 0.67 SB?

These are the only two Wolfman razors I own, so I have limited experience.

The BBS-1 is similar to a Wolfman WR2 head.  I find the Wolfman WR2 1.25SB close to it in feel.  The WR1 is more nimble, and I prefer it over the WR2.

Sure, but which WR1 gap is the equivalent of the BBS-1 in terms of shave feeling/performance?

BBS-1 is a different shave feel/performance to all of my WR1s.  Maybe the .74SB SS, but I much prefer that razor to the BBS-1. The .67SB SS is a different feel compared to the BBS-1. I prefer the .67, and with a Feather blade it is a nice shave.

So I shaved with my BBS-1 this morning due to your question. I used a Gillette Platinum, but want to revisit it with a Feather in a day or two.

Great shave, but it was designed to be used with a Feather ... or so I've read somewhere.

The blade gap is 1.00 and the top cap is thinner than the WR-2. Below is a comparison photo BBS-1 on the left, WR-2 right.

I'd say it's equal to my WR-1 .86 OC, or maybe even to the .94 DC. I always have a hard time with these comparisons. It's a good shaver AFAIC.
