What about wolfman razor stands. Are all unstamped with wolfman logo?

Yes all unstamped unbranded. He’s done some few custom orders but generally everything in the wild is unbranded for stands.

A machinist with more than a little experience and skill could easily replicate one and pass it off as ‘genuine’ so I personally would not buy one without original packaging- were I looking to pick one up from the secondary market . But that’s just my opinion

What kind of packaging would satiate you? Every one I've seen has been a simple black cocktail napkin and a small piece of gold tape. Both can be had for $5 or less from Party City. For a few more dollars I could buy the same small white box and a 50 stickers, steal the logo and re-create the entire experience. Surely a skilled machinist could do that, no?

If you want to buy second hand, more important than the packaging, is the character of the person you are buying from. Get one off the BST and vet the seller. That's the better way to buy on the secondary. My opinion.

I can’t argue with anything you said- I typically buy new from the manufacturer- so I don’t really have that issue

Original packaging?  My Wolfman WR1 with stand that I bought several years ago (2015? - right before he closed his original wait list) arrived in a small cardboard box with plastic bags and packing material - really nothing that you could say establishes unequivocally that the stand or the handle and top cap for that matter are authentic as those parts are unmarked with any branding as well.

I’d disagree that any machinist currently making razors and stands could “easily replicate” anything that James has made. It’s all in the details and his machining is in a tier of its own.
