CBL Soaps has introd a clone of vintage Williams Mug Soap called Tonsorial  that I dare say is just as good if not better than the vintage. He made a run of prototypes (some with scent) that he is selling on clearance and let me state unequivocally that IMO this is a winner. Lathered like a dream and billowy clouds of tallowy goodness resulted in a DFS. No frills here, just pure performance.

Huge Williams fan here, ordered 2 but missed out on the Oatmeal Stout and Sir Fougere. He who hesitates...

Only one Money left. Anyone else giving this a shot?

Vintage Williams Mug Soap might have been a great performer. I probably used it when I first started shaving decades ago.

After the product changed hands several time with reformulations, the modern Williams is not nearly so good, especially as better soaps have become available.

Even coming out with scented version of a soap that is similar to WMF would be welcome as the aroma of Williams is not exactly inviting.
