Sometimes I find myself still in my coat and opening packages. I don't even have the restraint sometimes to get my hat and shoes off when there's a package waiting for me when I get home.

Character

I get the putting off opening bit - its the anticipation, like when you're saving that best piece of steak on your plate for the last bite....then your teenage son leans over and snags it and its down his throat in a flashBig Grin OK, its not quite like that but the anticipation part is what I mean.

Which is why your son is now able to play competitive basketball, Marko. Big Grin

FlyingDuc, I hope you're joking about your wife not having a clue otherwise I shudder to think. Tongue

Freddy you make a good point. I do look forward to the day when I'm no longer responsible for his grocery billBig Grin He had a good game last night - he plays far away but we're able to stream it from the iPad onto the TV and watch him.

Mark, more often than not, I get so frustrated with computers. Then I hear something like your iPad/television use and one can't help but be slightly in awe, especially if one is of a certain age and I definitely am. Winking

The wife works from home and she sees the packages arriving, but they are pretty small and I frequently get stuff in the mail. This round of purchases has been building up for over a month.

I keep the packages in the bird room (the room where I keep my 20 or so birds). I'm usually the only one that goes in there. Plus, it's not uncommon to have small cardboard boxes lying around since we moved only a few months ago.

Now, if she saw everything laid out at once, she would go into convulsions. That's why the timing of my opening is so critical. I want to get a good picture of everything laid out across the floor all at once.

Anyway, tomorrow is looking bad. 1. the kid has diarrhea, and a two hour movie may not be the best thing for her. 2. I've got 4 more packages that should arrive in a week. I may have to do this after bedtime during the week. I'm not planning on making any new purchases soon.

And besides, for all you guys know, they could be empty boxes. Tongue

Nah, those boxes aren't empty because that would be cruel to be messing with us like thatBig Grin I've been looking and trying to identify where the boxes came from and whats likely in them.

Before the fun begins, I must first provide this --

DISCLAIMER Just to make sure everyone knows that I am not a shill nor am I trying to promote any brand.
  • I paid regular prices available to the general public
  • I did not receive any items for free or at a special discount
  • I am not proud of this...on the contrary, I am quite ashamed of myself for letting it get this far and will probably go a very long buying sabbatical after this.
  • I will not go out of my way to sell or hype any of these products to anyone on the forum. I will answer questions, but that is pretty much it.
  • I should probably seek counseling.

With that out of the way, let the fun begin...

With the wife and kid off to a movie, I knew I had to act quickly. Getting through all of these boxes, cleaning up, taking pictures, and stowing my stash took some time...about 1.5 hours to be exact.

With everything laid out on the bed, I got right to it with the box cutter. I few items (the toothbrush razor stand) I purchased at a brick and mortar store a couple of weeks ago.
Here's everything removed from their packing boxes.

There was only one leak...the Fine Sandalwood aftershave leaked a little. Not too much, but it did make my unboxing more enjoyable. I will have to say, it is a dead ringer for AOS sandalwood and I can't wait to try it out.

And everything removed from their inner boxes...

What can I say, after several years and trying several different brands of razors, I found exactly what I liked. I just so happens that this brand comes in so many different handle styles.
