Why are people selling their wolfman guerrilla razors?

I've seen a bunch of these for sale on this site as well as the shave bazaar on reddit. Any idea why so many people want to part with these razors?

I believe they are finding them a bit too mild.
I have one and this is what I have encountered. It is a beautifully made razor and quite smooth, but not as effective as some of my other shavers.
I am still contemplating whether to keep it or not.

This happens with every new product. A ton of people rush to try it out and offload it if it isn't to their liking. Over time more reviews come out so buyers are more informed and less likely to make a purchase that won't work well for them so catch and release falls off. It doesn't mean anything bad about the product. Watch any new razor release (like our Sabre) and you'll see the same thing.

I had the opportunity to use the Guerrilla for a short while right after it was released. I’ve been meaning to write a review, but something else always takes precedence.

To try to condense: The Guerrilla is a beautifully crafted high-quality razor. Even though in general it is relatively mild, I had some difficulty getting a smooth shave on my neck (a problem area). A shim might have made this an even better razor for me, but the design of the razor head is such that it may not be easy to shim this razor. I fell in love with the handle, which I think is a work of genius.

For a lot of people, if something doesn’t work well the first 1–2 times, they abandon it and move on to the next thing. I’ve done that with a few products, but “learning” a razor can take a lot more than just 1–2 shaves. Many people may not realize this, and put almost new razors up for sale quickly. (Which of course makes sense if you want to utilize the “hype,” but then you may miss out on something that could’ve turned out to be really nice.)

I think you pretty much covered it, in the three posts above. So far I've only heard of one who didn't find the Guerrilla smooth. Most of those who choose to dispose of it indeed attribute that to it being too mild. It's strange, but while I find the Timeless OC.95 smooth as butter and many find it too aggressive, also those who find the Guerrilla too mild, for me the Guerrilla is able to deliver as close to a BBS as the Timeless. I gave it some time and was rewarded for it. So you're right on point in my case Matsilainen.

For me the Guerrilla was waaaay too mild and inefficient. I had a very similar problem with the BBS-1 though- could never get as good a shave as I regularly get from my Blackbirds, WR1 .67, and Paradigm.

I'm keeping mine for sure but I hate that handle.

I'm not sure why people would get rid of it, I think it's a great razor, I believe that the above posts highlights the reasons. I got it to be my long trip travel razor, great close shaves and smooth no drama. It is "mild" as in you don't have a bunch of blade feel, but I found it to cut close. But that's the great thing about this daily chore we've turned into a hobby not one thing works for everyone.

I find that a guerrilla just doesn't have the dexterity of a human.
