Ahhhh...so the toner is not duplicative to the aftershave but assume the toner is the way to go since it's hydrating vs. aftershave with alcohol being drying? Or is there a WK-recommended approach in terms of usage for their full compliment of products?

For some the aftershaves may not be drying or they may provide that alcohol sting that some people still love. Personally I just avoid alcohol since my skin doesn’t react well to it so I just use the toner.

I can’t speak for the aftershave as I have never tried it and don’t use alcohol on my skin. The WK toner I have (unscented bare naked) does not contain witch hazel. It is minimally more viscous liquid than water that is completely scentless but contains components to calm and hydrate. I do find it very calming and I’m not sure which components can be attributed to that but it is also remarkably hydrating due to the Sodium Hyaluronate cross polymer. This ingredient in particular should find its way into your skincare wherever you can fit it. It’s a smaller molecule that hyalauronic Acid so it can penetrate the skin and it attracts water like crazy to keep skin hydrated. I use WK toner now after every face washing even when I don’t shave as the hydration benefit is outstanding. Finish off with a little balm or face lotion to seal it all in and your good to go.

It would depend on what the user needs are. If the user wants the scent to evolve and diffuse during a certain period of time, alcohol is the way to go. Non-alcohol based toner would not do that as its objective is to provide hydration and long term moisturization.  Also the toner helps to calm the skin that was exposed to a high pH product like the soap and a sharp blade.

So you'd recommend one vs. the other - not to use both as the alcohol will dry out the skin?  Sorry for being dense, but as my better half will attest I'm clueless without being given specific instructions (and even then she'd probably only give me a 50/50 shot at doing it right)!  Thanks!

I would recommend the toner if you are looking for moisturization.

I shaved with Rebelle yesterday, awesome awesome awesome Siero soap base.  It just impresses me every time I use it and the scent of Rebelle is exactly what I would expect for a tribute to Bowie.  I have to admit that I had a degree of apprehension while waiting for Rebelle to arrive.  A tribute to David Bowie shouldn't be taken lightly or with a cavalier hand in the scent department.  Well Sri, you done good.  I'm sure Bowie would approve and I certainly do.  Happy2

Thanks for your kind words Marko.

I had similar misgivings when I approached this project. Scent development and artwork was tricky and wanted to stick to some basic design principles from the beginning.  The journey to the end product was well worth the work that went behind the scenes.

I am happy you loved the scent and the performance of Rebelle in Siero.  Appreciate your business.

I would like to see Chypre Rose Concerto in Siero.  It was my first Wholly Kaw soap and its beautiful.   Happy2

I wouldn't hold out on Siero hoping for your favourite scent though, both Fougere Mania and Rebelle are wonderful.  I should be getting Entropy Man soon. Big Grin

I've no doubt the new Siero base is swell stuff, but Great Scott $30.00 (not including shipping)?!!  Sad  I just cannot justify it. Sorry. You are going to have to "trim the fat" on this new base.
