Here is the patent for the Godfather razor handle

Here is the US Patent for the chieftain razor design.

The inventor belongs to the Vullion Group. The trademark owners of Vikings blade I believe. So all those theories on reddit about no patents is false as it turns out.

Trademark owners

https://trademarks.justia.com/owners/vul...d-3386029/

That would in fact support the claims that Baili cloned Vikings Blade original design.

It's a design patent not a utility patent like the old Gillette patents, not much in the way of invention going on, only ornamentation at issue.

I do t think anybody can patent the old Gillette since the patents expired.

All I pointed out is that their design was patented and their claim seems to be valid.

Yep, it's interesting they went to the trouble, few manufacturers seem to think it's worth doing.

It would be for licensing out the design like for The Godfather razor handle.

There is a balance between a trade secret like KFC recipe or licensing out a Patent like Philips did with their DVD technology, same for JVC for VCRs, etc...that’s what patents are good for if the inventor wants to license out the design.

Whether you don’t want to pay more for the chieftain are people’s business . I like their design and perfect blade alignment. For me it’s the best modern TTO design.

I buy something because I like it. And razor reviews are subjective. All our faces are unique, what may be the best for one is the worst for others. Wilkinson sword blades are the worst for me and the best for others.

What I want in a razor is:

1. Perfect blade alignment
2. Good to excellent build quality
3. Form and function
4. Innovation, if there is one.

VikingsBlade TTO razors are better than Parker in my opinion. I sold all my Parker’s. But that’s just me.
