Blackland Dart or RazoRock GameChanger in the less than $100 range for me. Timeless or Above the Tie Windsor in the $200 plus range

Love my Karve, love the bronze look... Also the price is great for such a nice tool. I'm not an OC guy, though. I use milder razors and the B plate is almost perfect for me. That brings up another perk... Choices in plates. On that note, fwiw, Chris ran a limited release of G plates... It may come back someday. This of course speaks to the commitment and active development of the Karve. I'm obviously very happy with mine.

This is an impossible question to answer as every answer is subjective. The best advice, if you want to save money, is to buy an inexpensive DE razor and if you are happy with it, then stop buying any further razors; just enjoy the one you have.  Shy
Good luck.

After modest pause:  cue maniacal laughter.

Seriously though, while this is the best advice it’s proven difficult in practice.

I completely agree and I have never been able to heed this advice. I was just trying to help the OP save some money. Big Grin

Timeless Titanium 0.68 for me. I’m a daily shaver and this razor just works well for me. The feel of the titanium razor really needs to be experienced because of the “soft face feel”.

The one thing that this thread really shows is that we're lucky. There are so many great razors out there. Amazing soaps, aftershaves, preshaves, brushes. Things have come a long way since I bought my first safety razor.

For me and my face from what I have tried so far the King for me is my Timeless Titanium 95 smooth cap with scalloped base plate. It has a softer face feel for me than ss.
Happy shaves
