D9 Sixth sense - lucky for you. Though I guess tracks gave you traction while the blade gave you counter balance.

I once got my little Kubota stuck. Pushing snow over the embankment. Front wheels started to sink. I dropped the bucket to stop this but by then one back wheel was up in the air. could not use bucket curl to push my self back as it was in a mound of soft snow.

Needed my pickup, chains and ML to get me out of that mess.

No life threatening potential like your D9 incident but a heart stopper for me. ML did admirably and rescued me in no time flat.

Reaffirmation of a basic tractoring rule - ALWAYS wear the seatbelt. Roll Over Protection Structure will not save you if you fall out.
