Where has Chris been?

I think he's gone off the deep end. I have watched his latest videos and they are a very odd mix. Ramblings about people who live at home to long, breaking out guns and making some vulgar comments, his channel has slowly digressed from useful shave knowledge material to a series of odd rants and raves about things that aren't shave related at all. In one I suspect he was drunk as a skunk. Some of his pontifications are out there to say the least. I was all for the guy taking a break and posted as much here, but his latest stuff is so far from the realm of the reality compared to that of his prior videos I just can't imagine what has transpired but, something has. Wish him the best but his latest videos are not shedding a light on him well which, is sad as the guy offered a lot of useful knowledge to beginning wet shavers. He'd be best served to just put the video camera down; but, America is a free country and he is allowed to rant all he wants. I just find the whole deal bizarre.

I don't mind a guy sharing his opinions. If you don't like them, turn the video off. I just watched his recent top 5 vids and got some new ideas for things to try next year when my sabbatical is over.

I feel a little bad for TSE because I think he is genuinely a good person who enjoys helping others. Unfortunately he let some comments get to him too much but it looks like he's getting back into the swing of things. I believe he said he is creating two channels on youtube so he can post things unrelated to shaving on the other channel. It surprised me to see him talking about guns because the name of the video was still Sofa Sessions, but it doesn't bother me the least. TSE simply needs to do like Busta and ignore all the negative nannies that like to stir up trouble with him. People make some pretty offensive comments on Busta's videos and he keeps going like he didn't even read them. I like that about Busta, the guy has a positive attitude and one of the best personalties I've seen.

Just as we have a huge choice of hardware and software available to us in our shaving hobby/interest, we have a goodly number of folk who do videos associated with wet shaving. We audition them all, choose those we like the best and watch them to the exclusion of those that we don't.

As Hobbyist said, and I agree, Chris just let it get to him and has been venting of late. I rather enjoy someone who will stray a bit and talk about something other than the shave, but it does make it easier for viewers to look upon you with scorn. Ya pays yer money and takes yer choice! But, how do these guys talk whilst shaving the tough places? If I tried that, I'd be a bloody mess!

I agree that it seems he may be bothered by something because his videos are not the same. He always voiced his opinion openly and seemed he did not let others dictate his opinion. I liked the way he seemed to be genuine in his actions and beliefs. For those reasons I subscribed to his channel, I really enjoyed the "I don't care what you think" attitude. When I saw he deleted all his channels without letting his viewers know the reason was disappointing. He seemed like he always would call a spade a spade and shoot from the hip, so now his videos to me are not watchable because the comments are disabled and it does seem he cares what people would say. I unsubscribed because it went totally against the reason why I thought I liked his channel. If one day I happen to hear the reason and I can agree, than I would continue to watch.

If this is a true statement, I can't believe anyone cares about his videos any more. It's insulting, unprofessional, degrading and I'm guessing he wouldn't dare say something like that to most of us face to face. That's as nice I can put it, without getting banned for saying what I really feel.

Somehow people are still able to shave and buy products without his videos....At this point, I could care less if he ever made another video. Not that I cared or watched any in the first place.

As for the gun videos, anyone looking to YouTube for gun safety advise....shouldn't be allowed to own a gun, let alone handle one.
