About an hour ago I had a Homeric sneezing fit that is only now subsiding. I thought I had a cold coming on until a few extended walks these past few days left me refreshed. I have much of my material life in a low chest of drawers that doubles as desk and computer station. The center draw HELD my
shaving kit collection: said assembly at one time approaching @ 20 brands and scents before redistributing and now a mere five with 12 scents. I realised that drawer had become a sinkhole of offgassed oils and cause of my distress. In desperation I boxed everything and secured it temporarily in my carport storage locker sans my MWF and scrubbed the offending drawer and have the window open. I'm still stopped in my tracks by brief episodes.
I've looked with no little wide eyed amazement at some of the Dragon Hoards of multiple lifetime soap collections. Now I can only wonder how you avoid dislocating your nasal passages!

Hopefully the soap attack symptoms will soon relent.

Today I was just thinking about perhaps paying more attention to whether a soap is scented entirely with essential oils, or with fragrance oils. I don’t know if that would have made any difference in your case, KAV, but some soaps will cause a bit of a “heat reaction” on my skin, and I should really find out what the common denominator might be.

As lovely as these products we use can be, some of them seem to be rather stout.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

It might not be all of them, might be as few as just one. Maybe?

If daily shaving was without risk, girls would do it.

When I die, I want to go like Gramps, quiet in his sleep - Not screaming like the passengers riding in his car.
