WyzeOne gave me this idea for a thread by posting in SOTD yesterday that he finished off his shave with a combination of a splash of Osage Rub and Clubman Classic AS.  I tried it this morning and I liked it and I'm guessing that the membership has lots of product combinations that they've used over the years so here's your chance to share them.

Post your favourite combinations of products by category:

* Pre-shave product combinations;
* Shaving soap combinations and/or soap - cream super-lather combinations;  and,
* aftershave combinations, splash combos, splash - balm combos and balm combos

I'm looking forward to hearing some creative combinations - only rules are that it must contain a minimum of two products and you have to have used it at least once and you can also describe any combinations to be avoided if you've experienced any of those.

Of to the lab!

Mark

Another one I've tried is Fine Snake Bite with any aftershave that you want an extra menthol kick added to. It doesn't really have a scent of its own so it works out quite well.

Yes, I've done snakebite with some balms. I love the way snakebite makes me tear up so much menthol.

I may have to accelerate my Snakebite purchase- you guys should get a commission!

I rarely super/uber/fillintheblank lather as I face lather in all but the rarest of situations. Have done and when I did it was a random soap with Cremo. Found it worked quite well as I recall.

AS, I have not tried a mix but will have to do so. I do often combine some witch hazel immediately post shave then some burn/menthol after it has soaked in. Doesn't really demonstrate any alchemy but it's something Smile

If I want a lasting cooling kick to any AS splash or balm I add a drop of peppermint essential oil to my AS splash or balm Really feels fantastic and the cooling effect last for quite a long time.

I discovered this when a friend suggested I put some of her peppermint EO on my forehead and temples one night at dinner when I was having a terrible headache. Did ease the headache and the light went off that I needed to try this with my next shave.

When I feel the need to use a balm I will usually put a dollop in my palm and then pour whatever aftershave I want in my palm also and mix then together. I use SC Integrity and Nivea sensitive primarily.

Is that a drop per application Owba? I would think so. Great idea. I know others [I believe primotenore in fact] add essential oils, menthol crystals, etc. to their witch hazel and AS which is a great idea but I have never done.

Yes, one drop in my palm with the splash. I bought a little bag of menthol crystals but haven't mixed anything up in bulk yet.
