BOY is it GOOD to be home!!

Dubl Duck Special No.1 5/8 hollow

Spent the last week camping in the woods of the Truckee area, and I haven't had a proper shave in that time. I shaved twice with my 1924 Shovelhead, but the last 5 days saw no shaves at all.

So I got home and the first thing I want to do is shave, of course!

CJB AC-style shavette with Schick Proline blade

Blade was a little rough on the back of my head, but otherwise a fantastic and smooth shave.

Frederick Reynolds 5/8 wedge

One of my favorite recent acquisitions. When I bought this razor as part of an estate sale, I really wasn't sure if it was going to hone up well. The wear on the spine is pretty heavy, the bevel is a bit wide, and it smiles like a hippie on mushrooms. The original horn scales were broke beyond repair. But sitting in a new set of red, marbleized acrylic scales, and honed to kill, this thing is a fantastic shaver. Just a lovely, heavy, razor with a great big, long smile...
