Haslinger Honey [tallow]
Man there is something about this tallow version of Haslinger. It is easy to lather, but man is it slick. I really enjoy the scent on this. A lot of shavers don't, but it has a unique vibe to my nose. A leather and tobacco hint maybe? Anyway, I only have this one puck left in tallow. The new variety doesn't lather the same. Why oh why do firms eff around with great products - real bummer. I should have stocked up dang it.
Pairs perfectly with SMN Aqua di Cuba

Fjellheim v. (Fitjar Islands) light conifer
This is a sturdy little cake of soap. Over the last two days I've given it at least 100 swirls. It doesn't look like I've even touched it. Why have I been loading so heavy? The soap doesn't call for that sort of treatment. It makes a nice lather with only 30 swirls. But I was delving for the scent, which must be hidden somewhere near the middle of the puck. Fresh out of its wrapper, Fjellheim smelled like light juniper and pine. Now it has just a faint woody fragrance like dry pine needs. To bolster this I dipped into Slumberhouse's Norne. One small drop of this powerful parfum enveloped me in a thick fog of dark evergreen notes that carried me back up into the mountains.
