Magnolia (Grooming Dept) citrus, florals, incense
The biggest surprise is the incense. Put your nose right to the puck and you may barely smell it, but in the lather it blooms large. It smells citrusy, as you would expect from a magnolia blossom, but it’s a citrus–incense combination peppered with warm resins that ground what could otherwise be an overwhelming gust of fruit and white florals. To be honest, when I first opened the tub, I was puzzled by what I smelled. Magnolia blooms should be as tart as lemon peel, but this was a bushel of smooth fruity jasmine. Only after loading my brush heartily and working up the lather did I get the expected lemon along with the cedar, labdanum, and honey that balance the soprano florals with some steady baritone notes.
The lather is just as pleasing as the scent. Dense without ever becoming heavy, it holds more water than a wet wool sock, but it never goes gooey or saggy. Slip and cushion are among the best I’ve ever enjoyed. What really sets this vegan soap apart, though, is how it washes away squeaky clean like Martin de Candres but still leaves your skin soft and as well hydrated as your favorite tallow and lanolin soap.

B&M - Fern
This a fantastic smelling soap. My wife and I both get a familiar scent when we sniff it but neither of us can put our finger on it. At one point, I thought it reminded me of Brut but after pairing this with Brut, they are definitely not the same. Still a great pairing but not the same. Does anyone else have Fern and know what "that familiar scent" is?
