HoosierShave, thanks for reminding me of Mike's Vetiver! That's a good nutty scent, a little earthy, but still clean enough not to be confused with an ashtray. I could use it everyday. But from time to time I find a dank, dark vetiver appealing, so I'll be keeping my eyes open for something tarry.

Grafton Shaving Cream (Truefitt & Hill) geranium fougère

I pull this cream off the shelf every four months, have a great two-pass shave, and then tuck it away into deep storage again. I can’t account for why I don’t use it more. It makes a slick lather and it smells great, but it doesn’t excite. It’s like a well cut blue wool suit. It works for just about every occasion, but usually you can’t wait to shed it in favor of something more colorful or comfortable.
