Been awhile since we’ve seen a post of Van Yulay soaps.  Thanks.

Mint Ice Menthol Paste v. (Meißner Tremonia) peppermint, eucalyptus, menthol

For the last week or so I've been dusting my cheeks with talcum powder after I shave. It gives me an exceptionally smooth finish and seems to prolong the scent of the soap. Today, though, I forgot the talc, but I still came away with a smooth-as-glass shave that left me feeling like I'd been well dusted. How'd that happen? A quick look at Mint Ice Menthol's ingredients explains why. Talc is already a part of this paste's base. It's right there in the soap, so it looks like there's no need to powder my nose after the shaving is done.

And the heat!  Yes, to me summer heat has a scent and this soap captures it.  Summer sun cooking the scent off pines and the resinous scent of the brush on the open hillsides adds to the mix.  All one needs to do now is add the sound of locusts buzzing and it smells like Idaho summer in the mountains.  Reminds me of the trail heading out of Dry Canyon and up the ridge between Dry and Green canyons leading up high to Independence Lakes.  When it’s gone, it’ll be replaced.

Now that I've been dabbling with soaps with lanolin, I will have to try this one bc it always was the most interesting to me of MW. I'm a sucker for evergreen scents (especially fir needle, but pine will do).
Truth is, I think I had a sample of it previously...but I had bought like 25 samples at once and during shipping I think there was some cross-pollinating of scent...they all had the same vibe (they were all sweet, which is not a tone I like very often) and I just don't think that's accurate.
Worth another shot. Right? No?

I don’t know what base this B&M soap is but Nordost hit the deck running this morning.  The label says Smoked Orange is the note but when I first got it all I got was orange but with some time the smoke note has come forward and I really like it more.
