Today I chose another Wholly Kaw (got to be careful not to spell Wooly Kaw as that is a totally different experience). And chose Fougere Bouquet.  I like fougeres but there is an off-the-shelf scent that several makers use that has a piquant note I do not enjoy.  This one is a rounder accord more like a Brut.  It's a lovely aromatic that I can shoulder into.  The lather is adequate like ALL my other soaps but the post shave may be the best ever in my granitic Idaho water.  When my Birthday approaches I will remind all you brethren so you don't have to ponder about what to get me.

Thanks to the DFSer who sent me a jar of this excellent soap. I sampled a small chip of another CB soap years ago, but I’ve never tried a full tub until today. I’ve been missing out. This vegan soap lathers easily and makes a slippy emulsion. Though it left me a little tight, I’ve no complaints. It’s hot and wet here now, so I was happy to feel wrung out, if only for a few minutes. Now, six hours since I put my razor down, the glycerin has kicked in full force. Good thing I didn't reach for the aftershave since tonight my skin's passing plump.

IdP smells pretty good, too. This is a citrusy interpretation of AdP’s Colonia. I’m not getting that sweet milky sandalwood you find in old bottles of the cologne, and the patchouli’s pretty tame. There may also be a whiff of something metalic on the side. But none of this is enough to distract from the pleasure of a really good shave. I think I’m going to have to try a few more of Catie’s bubbles.

Good deal Bouki! Glad you like it. Great scent upon lathering!

Felce Aromatica v. (Saponificio Varesino) light green fougère

Give this lather a good long drink and you’ll be amazed that something so perfectly vegan can still come out so slick and so satisfying. Though it holds a bucket of water, the lather is not quite as glossy as tallow. But SV is thick, and full of body and cushion, and it offers all you need for a perfect three-pass shave, even on a hot, sticky afternoon. It smells wet and green, like you’re kicking through a field of ferns just after the rain. A classic summer scent.

Like the his scent and the CK-6 base has the best finish I've ever experienced.
CaD is apparently a copy of a well known fragrance, but I have smelled it and have no clue what it's modeled after. Anyone know?

I keep forgetting but the load time on PAA soaps is significantly less than others.  A good 10-15 sec load this morning resulted in waaaaayyyyy too much product.  I spent a lot more time face-lathering and watering the soap then normal....thankfully, it's Saturday and it was a good way to procrastinate before heading to the office
