The scent and performance go hand in hand to create a wonderful experience.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

The Trail (Noble Otter) conifers, rain, smoke

Some of the best fragrance accords are made of three carefully harmonized notes. For instance, a fougère balances lavender, oak moss, and coumarin. Chypres juggle citrus, oak moss, and labdanum. And amber is a mix of vanilla, labdanum, and incense. Each of these classic blends is more than just a mix of three scents. The hallmark of a really good accord is how it creates an olfactory illusion, a sense that you're sitting on a mossy bank deep in a forest, or sprawling on a sunny Mediterranean hillside, or lounging in a garden in Marrakesh. Noble Otter pulls off a similar trick with The Trail. The soap's basic notes are simple: sweet fir sits on a base of lingering smoke and the promise of a rainy downpour. Combined like this, though, the scent is surprisingly much more than just wet trees and ashes. I get the  sensation of enormous space, a feeling like I'm walking down Mt Rainier just below tree line.
