Razor: Against the Tie SE1
Handle: Stainless Steel that came with the razor (not an ATT handle, I don't think). It is a heavy handle.
Handle: Muhle chrome (came with my Muhle R89)
Blade: Feather Professional (D6.5)
Blade: Feather Professional Super (D4.5)

Razor: Occam's O.R.E.N.
Top Cap: 2 dot
Blade: Feather Professional (D6.5)

Razor: Feather Artist Club Super Razor (SR) kamisori
Blade: Feather Professional (D6.5)

Razor: Kai Captain Standard R-Type Folding Razor
Blade: Feather Professional (D6.5)

Today was my first shave with the ATT SE1. I did a comparison of the Feather Pro blade with the heavy SS handle that I received with it as well as with my Muhle chrome handle (for a light weight option). I had a three day beard and the shave was very rough. I thought maybe I needed more blade exposure to make it through my beard so I switched to the Pro Super blade, but it was still a very rough shave (though maybe a fraction better). I then decided to move the Pro blade to the Occam O.R.E.N. to knock down more of the stubble patches I missed with the SE1. The Occam razor did well except in the dense grown areas of the mustache area and chin. I then moved the Pro blade to the kamisori to clear out the mustache area and chin. I had a hard time getting a the chin cleaned up with the kamisori so I pulled out the Captain to finish things off. I would have done more clean up with this last razor but figured I was going to risk nicks and more razor burn so I quit while I was ahead. My guess is the heavy head of the SE1 doesn't work for me with the Pro or Pro Super (I even tried riding the cap but that didn't help). I will try a milder blade an/or a guarded blade to see if I can make peace with the SE1. Next time, I may jump straight to the Captain or pull out my Yates 921 with the H plate if I need to rescue the next SE1 shave. I am sure if I had been using the kamisori more often and more recently, I could have cleaned up the entire shave without resorting to the Captain. Likewise if I had been using the Captain more, it would cleaned up everything else quickly.

Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,582

Things are looking up finally as swelling is decreasing as well as tenderness on the face although the nasal area is still sensitive. Nasal saline solution being administered as directed has helped the packing to disintegrate quicker and thus relieve the pressure somewhat. Tomorrow at 11 I go for the follow up and removal of all the rest of remaining packing and check stitches inside the nasal area. On top of hat at @5:30 yesterday evening the power was restored. All clocks were updated andthe world is right again..........for the present. A hot shave felt so good this morning and with light to see as a bonus. Have a great day everyone !
