Several years ago, I read about this brush on some forums. It was well-received and had sold out. I checked the website daily for new stock, and was finally able to get one. I still remember the excitement. Smile

Synthetics have of course progressed since, and the loft of this one makes it a little floppy, but it’s still a fine brush for sensitive skin and on days when I don’t need backbone. The size and splay make it feel rather luxurious in use – this feels more like a 28–30 than a 26 mm.

With some more time and use, you may find that you’re happy you didn’t set it higher. I have a 30 mm synthetic that initially felt fine at 61 mm, but now I wish I had set it 2–3 millimeters lower. On the other hand, there’s another 30 mm synthetic I initially thought I had set too low (57 mm), and now it’s perfect.

The Kong remains one of my favorite synthetics and it is that "rather luxurious" feel that keeps me coming back to it.Smile

Rooney Emillion 1 Porcelain Finest (24/51), a wonderful brush.  Despite its relatively high loft it has great backbone, and I love its hand feel.
