Hi Mark, I'll start off by saying I am nowhere near an expert on badger brushes, but it's a decent brush for the money and its solidly in the rotation. I really like the aesthetics of it. The shape and feel of the handle are very nice (as you know ). However, the knot is a little undersized for my preferences and is just a tiny bit on the scritchy side. Still very soft tips with a hint of scritch. All I have to compare it to are the Envy White and Stirling Finest knots though. The EW is marginally softer, no scritch and quite a bit more backbone. If you do decide to get it, buy it off of eBay directly from the factory in Portugal for the best price. You'll wait longer to get it, but I think you're probably used to that by now .
