Not sure. I think they still exist, albeit limited during these pandemic days. Their an Italian business, no?

I found their Etsy page, so they still have product. No crown of thorns handle, but they do have a neat 'La Pieta' for anyone looking for similar. I'd be lying if I said it was as cool looking as that, though.

They are all hand-painted, yes?

Thanks for sharing Edmond_Dantes . Some great looking brushes there.

Panta Rei is indeed both Italian and active - here is the website:

Also supposed to make very good soaps and splashes...

[font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]I have relatively simple tastes.
My favourite handle on a brush that I own is on the Stirling 2-Band synthetic:

A great grip, and I'm never going to drop it when i flick excess water off it. The simple black and off-white scheme and rounded hourglass shape looks like something from the 1930s or so.

A Simpson Eagle G3 would be nice to have too.

And of course an Ever Ready 100T.

But keep it out of the wind, right?  Big Grin

I tend to favour short brush handles, because I keep my thin-walled stainless steel lather bowl floating in the sink of hot water, which works like a modern-style scuttle. Long handles cause it to capsize unless I balance it such that the knot is out of the bowl.
I really should just get a large Moss Scuttle for the bigger brushes.
