John, I realize that might not be everyone's idea of breakfast but to me it sounds like perfection.
It was delicious. And at my age, having no good reason is in itself reason enough.

Mine too. Even if I can't eat it myself. But hearing about it allowed the mind to fill in the blanks and I could taste it from memory.
Today it was 20 F at 7:30 AM but the sun was shining for the first time in over a week. There was no breeze so I figured a breakfast sandwich on the deck would be lovely.
Egg, sausage or Spam and cheese on a toasted English muffin. Plus travel mugs of coffee or tea.
Of course a jacket, a blanket and for ML a heater (tall column to her left) were required. We had a lovely time - listening to the birds sing, enjoying the sound of the babbling brook and watching the rising sun melt the frost of the landscape. Yes - just lovely.

PhilNH5, I think the world of Mary Lou and you but I think you're both mental. 20-degrees F. Are you mad?! I had to dress in my ultra-wooly jammies just to look at that photo.
(There's a reason I live in Southern California. )
Having said all of that, breakfast sounds delicious... minus the SPAM.
Enjoy, my friend, and thanks for sharing.

LOL. A little background. A week before Easter it was sunny and beautiful. 65F. Spring had finally arrived in the north country. We spent 2 days in shirt sleeves doing yard chores.
Sunday afternoon the clouds rolled in. And stayed all week. Good Friday brought 8 inches of wet snow.
It lingered and we had our first ever White Easter.
This pic(since it is a breakfast thread) is from Easter Sunday. You can see the snow.
The week after Easter the overcast skies continued. And we got decorator snow every single day. Just enough snow to make it pretty. It melted each day but a new round the next day. All week.
So when the SUN was shining yesterday the oppurtunity needed to be siezed. As mentioned it was lovely.
It warmed up to 55 but at dinner time the cloud cover rolled back in.
