I had a great shave this morning with the Wholly Kaw Limited Edition Donkey Milk formula Fougere Bouquet. It smells wonderful and the performance is great (thirsty). I'm a big fan of almost all of the Wholly Kaw soaps I've tried (sorry Sri, Cuero Oscuro just doesn't do it for me Big Grin ) and this Fougere bouquet does not disappoint.

I'm ranking it as one of my top 3 Fougere scented soaps that I've experienced. Here they are in no particular order:

Barrister and Mann Fougere Imperiale
Barrister and Mann Fougere Aromatique
Wholly Kaw Fougere Bouquet

Honourable Mention- L&L (now Declaration) Grooming / Chatillon Lux TSM Fougere.

If you have a favourite Fougere soap (or aftershave) please post them here.

Thanks,
Marko

Barrister's Reserve Fern, 'nuff said!

Honorable mentions to TSM Fougère and Reef Point Fougère Santal. I haven't had the pleasure of using the original B&M Fougères though.

I've wanted to try the Reef Point Fougere Santal for a while now. As for the B&M Imperiale and Aromatique, they're very nice. Its funny when you see folks get worked up about bringing discontinued B&M soaps back. A while back it was Roam that everybody was clamouring for notwithstanding the fact that Will actually had to discount the original run to get it moved out - I got a back up thenBig Grin My point is that people should be clamouring for a return of Fougeres Imperiale and Aromatique not Roam. Nothing wrong with Roam its just that the two fougeres are quite beautiful and Roam is a bit rough around the edges.

I recently became interested in Fougères after picking up a tub of Reef Point Fougere Santal on a whim while at a local shave meetup. It was very different than the soaps I had long favored, which ran to citrus, florals, or woodsy. Somehow it grew on me, and it seemed to pair very nicely with Chatty Lux La Forêt de Liguest. Still enjoy that pairing every time I try it.

Then an online acquaintance hit me up with a sample of B&M Fougère Gothique. I had heard buzz about FG, but had not given it much thought because verbal descriptions of the scent profile did not sound appealing to me. As soon as I actually smelled it, I knew I would be ordering a tub. I love that stuff, a great base and a beautiful scent. I have to believe B&M will eventually bring it back.
