What is your all time worst blade?

Today I used a MingShi Super Stainless for the first time. A "free" tuck was included with a Merkur Futur clone I ordered from China several months ago. I shaved with a RazoRock Mamba which is a mild shaver and nearly impossible to draw blood. The MingShi blade achieved the distinction of cutting nearly every side of my face, which no other blade has done. And all of this happened with the Mamba! I suggest that if you plan to film a Zombie movie, you forego an expensive makeup artist...and just have your male cast members all shave with MingShi razor blades. You will not need any fake blood and everyone will look like zombies. Nuff said.

Rapira Swedish Supersteel. They're not super steel to any extent. Horrible.

I tried those and I concur in your opinion. Have you tried the Rapira Platinum Lux? They're not bad, a bit mild but nothing like the Swedish Supersteel.

No, I haven't. The dreadful shave I had with the non-Super Steel made stay well away from that brand. I need sharper blades and I tend to use Gillette "Yellows" and Astra SS, depending on the razor. Not planning in trying those, in fact.

Understandable. Stick with what works. I bought one package of each of the Rapira blades and the Platinum Lux were the only ones that I've continued using - they're not my go to blade, a bit mild but not bad.

Perhaps surprisingly, the Ming Shi blades that came with my Ming Shi razor have worked well with all the razors I've tested so far including a Mergress, post war Tech and Rockwell 6C on the #4 plate. No nicks, cuts or scrapes and a two pass PDG+ near perfect shave with minimal touchup.

These varying Ming Shi experiences remind me of mine with the Rockwell blades. The first Rockwell blade (in my Weber DLC) was absolutely dismal. The second (in my Blackbird) was surprisingly good. Clearly, more testing is needed…

Quickly glanced though this thread again, and was surprised to notice how many dislike Bic blades. The Bic Chrome Platinums are one of my favorites… That mileage thing really does vary wildly.

I think if you go through the thread you'll find that almost every blade mentioned is both hated and loved by someone. I like the Bic Chrome Platinums in my EJ DE-89.

For me it was the first blade in the first safety razor I ever used and subsequently cut myself up with pretty good. The Van Der Hagen "Stainless / Ice Tempered" blades. *Shutter*
